TS vid 2008

No matter when during the year I actually vid, I seem to end up producing one per summer. I actually did most of the work on this last winter, but I had to start working in five-minute increments toward the end because my computer can't really handle Premiere when enough clips are loaded in there. Still, I persevered (on and off) and finally got this one finished! It's my favorite one that I've produced so far (of the three). I hope you like it too!

Vidspoilery Commentary
I've been talking about doing this song for TS for ages: a passionate, slightly violent, manic love song with lots of references to the five senses! Even without ridiculously perfect Jim lines like "And love overcomes all of my senses; lowers all of my defenses," I probably would have wanted to do this song for Jim and Blair anyway. With the simple refrain of "I love you, I love you, I do, do, do," it's the song that says "love" to me. (It doesn't hurt that I listened to it a lot when I was in middle school and desperately infatuated with my first girlfriend.) And, as cheesy and silly as the show clearly is, Jim and Blair really are, and may always remain, the slash couple whose love I most truly and deeply believe in.

There are so many great Jim and Blair love clips that I imposed some semi-arbitrary restrictions on myself in the selection. You may notice that most of the clips are from seasons 2-4; I tried to keep season 1 clips to a minimum because my first TS vid, "Easy to Love," contained only season 1 clips (I did not have access to the others avis at that time).

I must have been tired when I watched this last night, because I missed some of the best parts. Especially both clips for Jim's lowered defenses at :26-:29. The song is so perfect for them. :-)

ok, so it was late at night and no-one was likely to call, so I thrashed the dial-up big time, and I'm pleased that I did. The vid was a sweetheart of a thing, and I really enjoyed the song as well. Thanks. :-)

I love love LOVE this. Your emphasis on their physicality with each other, especially Jim's toward Blair, the way he tries to hold on, even when Blair is wiggling away a little, takes my breath away. I NEEDED TO SEE THIS VIDEO. Thank you.

I love this! Great use of clips. I'm also enjoying the recaps. They help a lot since I'm rediscovering this series years after seeing it on UPN.

They are really funny to read and point out things I missed. Sometimes I miss times they touch each other. They do it so dang often. Real reason Carolyn moved: You touch Blair more than you ever did me. ;)
